Satkondi, located in Ratnagiri district near Jaigad Port, has traditionally depended on seasonal agriculture for its livelihood. However, the village faces a severe shortage of water due to the region’s hard jambha rock terrain, limiting agricultural productivity and year-round economic opportunities. Pancham is working with the community to improve water security while creating sustainable livelihoods that can transform the village’s future.

Economic Upliftment
Create sustainable livelihood opportunities by promoting moringa (shevaga) cultivation and supporting the development and marketing of value-added moringa products.
Water Security
Strengthen water security through rainwater harvesting systems, borewell recharge, and the construction of a water storage pond to support irrigation for moringa plantations.
Community Health & Education
Improve education and community health by installing solar panels in village schools and establishing a Water ATM to provide safe drinking water. Promote preventive healthcare by conducting village-wide health surveys and organizing regular health check-up camps for residents.
